Is the HDS 12 touch worth the money or is it better to just stick to the HDS 10?

If you are buying new get the 12. If you already have the 10 just stay with that.

They are awesome but there are a few drawback. I'll list them:

They viewing screen is just freaking enormous!
The screen is almost too easy to scroll through the options.
Touch screen is almost like cheating when entering waypoints.
Built in structure scan simplifies installation.
Did I mention the screen is enormous?

Honestly, the only drawback is the price. But a 10" is no slouch; but if you can afford to drop the $3k then the 12" is awesome!

I think I can handle those drawbacks. I'll be ordering one soon and can't wait to put it on

It only hurts when it's time to pay for them! cheers I wanted to hang myself for spending so much on a HDS 7 gen 1. Then I bought a gen 2 10 and I thought I was real stupid. But then I really went and did it. OMG The 12" Touch, I can't say it's worth it but I can say its pretty awesome. cheer
