Where I lay rods down on the front deck I have pretty bad oil stains on the gray carpet. Maybe from worm juice or reel magic or both. I have tried pressure washing, hand cleaning with solvents etc. but nothing seems to help.

I will appreciate any suggestions.

When I was a kid my dad would use my moms carpet cleaner with the hose attachment to clean the boat carpet. From my memory it seemed to get the stains out. Might be worth a try

Resolve carpet cleaner. Wallyworld, Krogers carries it.

my wife is a master seamstress and she helped me get some major stains out of my carpet with Grandma's Secret Stain remover... you can find @ any fabric store.

I have the best luck with fast orange hand cleaner, if its oil based this should get it out easy. use a brush and then just rinse with a hose. this works great in the bilge area too

Non Scented Furniture Polish

I picked up some yesterday and thought I would give it a shot on a large mildew stain I had on my rod box. It's been there for several years and nothing I tried worked previously.

Well Folex took it all out and looks like new again.
