I took my father in law to Donnie's in S. Arlington for a cheesesteak after we got done crappie fishing on Sunday. He said it was the best cheesesteak he'd ever had. Coming from a man who has traveled all of the world and been extensively stationed on the eastern seaboard in his 25 years as an MP I'd say that was probably pretty high praise. +1 Definitely the best cheesesteak I have had. Not really a sub shop tho.

If you are ever around Jimmy's at lunch time, go in and order a sandwich. The Italian Stallion or the muffuletta will take care of you. http://www.jimmysfoodstore.com/menu.php

Jersey Mike's Chipotle Cheesesteak is the winner by a mile.

Here is another vote for Dino's in Arlington. Great fresh cut meat! And I swear their oil and vinegar is just better than any I've had on other subs.
Sounds like I need to hit up Donnie's!

I love me some Lenny's! The Philly Cheesesteak at Joe's Pizza And Pasta is great but is terrible at Charley's Subs.

Jimmy John's gets added to my good list. I ate there a couple of days ago. It was good.

If you ever get a chance to eat lunch at Dino's Subs in Arlington on Collins St for gosh sakes take it! Best sub I have ever had! All the meat is fresh cut for your sandwich and the toppings are super fresh. Nice people too. Haven't been to Dino's in a long time but it is really good.

Best steak sandwhich - Capt. Nemos in Irving
Best Meatball Sub - Sam's in Cedar Hill
- as a matter of fact everything at Sam's is awesome, go in there and give em some [censored] about their Yankees and their Giants when you go in there.

Still have to give Brookshire's Grocery a thumb's up. Hadn't had one in a while until last week, and it was good. Much better than any of the sub shops and made to your request. About $5.00 with a small bag of chips - drink extra.
