As Tom said a 3-way rig. In current fishing below dams I use a 5 oz. wire sinker on the bottom, go up 1.5 to 2.5 ft. and tie a dropper loop to attach your hook to. When you throw out the wire sinker will hang and keep your bait/hook up off the bottom. When a fish hits it will usuall staighten the wires on the sinker pulling it free. This set-up requires 40 lb. test line so you can also jerk the sinker loose without breaking your line.

Let the no roll slide all the way to the hook. No swivels or leaders. You hang a lot less
