Went to one of our local lakes (Gilmer) today. It was overcast, light winds and no fish, nothing. Stuck one fish after 6 hr. Fished shall, deep and in between. Finaly tucked my tale and give up. I know I am not a pro fisherman but I ant no newbie ether. How are the rest of you doing?

I caught 10 Sunday and 8 Wednesday evening .... 3 hours each day..... to 5+ lbs......Winnsboro ...... they were all shallow!

Fished lake Gilmer Sunday morning and Monday morning. Lot's of bait fish suspended over main lake humps, bass feeding on them. Caught several both days fishing below them with crank bait & tx rig red shad.

All the lakes are so full of shad right now it makes it a tougher bite. Match the hatch! I foul hooked a little shad then downsized my spinnerbait and it was on for about 20 minutes.

Had a lot of hookups at clear lake in the lbj grasslands this morning on topwaters. Raining pretty hard too. Seemed to want brighter colors like citrus shad. Only landed one though.

Gilmer has been on fire all year. They caught a 12 and a 13 last week and its been taking atleast 20 lbs to win the weekly tournaments and thats only a 3 fish limit
