I am heading down to PINS tomorrow for the first time for some camping and fishing and I am not familiar with the area. Can anyone recommend a good bait and tackle shop for me to stop at before I get to the island? I need to pick some tackle and the bait that I need.

If people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles.

if your going through port aransas on your way to pins, island tackle is a cool mom and pop style store. I dont believe they have live bait but the have the esstenials and are very friendly... Port a outfitters has bait and tackle and alot more choices of things but if you just need to grab a couple hooks and or weights etc etc, i like island tackle. if going through rockport theres tackle town, which is an allright store for terminal tackle not sure about bait there either.
and if roys is on your way in deff suggest stoping there. and i think breakaway isnt too far from roy's either

There is some tackle too in the HEB supercenter, they also have fishbites, which you can use in a pinch to catch some fih for cutbait if it comes to that.
