KittyWomper, I am new to the forum and this for what you are doing for us "jailed" bank fisher peeps is great. I have to complain for all of us that we just try to go have fun for a couple of hours, get away from work and daily stresses in life, to find a body of water, which have almost become somewhat exinct, because we cannot get to them as many posters have stated, Everyone THINKS they own the land. I personally have been run off from a lake because I was told that they own the property down by the lake. And also not like the old days where you can hop over to "Joe-pops place and fish and not be bothered. I am very aggravated, there is a large body of water in or around Fossil Creek golf coarse (Ft.Worth) does not look like you could even get to it without someone calling the law on you. Sorry for rattling on. Just irritated. And Thank You!

@FW51 - well thanks I appreciate that. The map wouldn't be possible without the contributions of many here on TFF.
As far as being chased off fishing spots, I try very hard to never post a spot on private property - all the spots on the map are "public access". If I learn after the fact that a spot is on private land, the spot is removed.
That said, "community lakes" can sometimes be a crapshoot - some subdivisions allow only residents to fish their lake. But in my book, unless it's clearly posted as such, a community lake (again not a private lake) is fair game if not posted.
Golf course lakes, while very tempting unfortunately fall into the "private property" category as far as I'm concerned.
Good luck!

Alber finkle park is at the bank of chocolate bayou. I have caught reds, and gar. Its a little upstream from where it goes into galveston so you can catch bluegill and bass as well. It's one of those places you never know what you will pull out.

FM 2869 where it crosses Lake Hawkins - both sides of the bridge there are ample bank fishing opportunities.

Hey, this a great bank fishing pond for families looking to teach the youngsters how to jig for perch, or for some small to medium bass. Public lake, Harris county is converting it from an old quarry to a park. 29.911645,-95.679763 https://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF&a...&dg=feature

Wow, can't believe I missed your post. It's been added to the map - spot #269. Sorry for the slow response. Daughter got married about the time of your post, so maybe that's why I missed it.
