Can anyone tell me some good spots to put in on the Trinity? The only spot I've ever put in is on that huge hill by that little concrete waterfall by Burgers Lake and I'm tired of hauling my kayak up and down that steep hill.

Good luck on getting any info on this. If you look at thread I started a few days ago "Trinity River" you will see I have asked the same question and gotten no info, so if you get some info Please pass it on

Sorry guys I'm at work and don't have time to look for them to link but do searches for Trinity River and go looking for older post on it. We have a couple guys fish it and have some nice reports.

This should help out a little. SW Paddler - Trinity Info. Here is a direct link to the Clear Fork Section in FW. Scroll down to the "River Access Points" paragraph. This site does not always list all of the access points. It is usually only the most legal points. Hope this helps.

The problem I have with people just coming on here and posting for spots (bassmaster only has 5 posts) Is that its a good way to have a nice spot ruined. That being said I dont mind helping people out and showing them a few spots etc.
You want to know how I found pretty much every spot I've ever fished on the Trinity? Google maps! Seriously just look at the map and look whats around. Things to look for are a parking area/ somewhere to park close by, and then probably most importantly is access to the water. There are a few spots I go to that require a bit of dragging and going up and down hills. Burgers lake spot is one of them.
I put in alot of effort to find some of the spots I have found so I don't like to jsut give them up to strangers on the internet. The rule here is a little searching can go along way, and don't just jump on a forum and ask people for their spots and then get upset when they don't give them up.
Sorry for the rant. Im really not trying to be mean just giving you the prespective of someone else. I would be glad to show either of you around a few of the more popular spots that have easy launch access.

Yea, the clear fork spot by the Bible Church is still up and down a hill, unless you have a cart, but at least there's no spill way with 20 feet of broken concrete to carry over. Just beware the current there is strong. Good-luck.

Man, I'll share with you or anybody else who wants info on the Trinity. Trinity River just west of Rogers in Ft. Worth. They just shaved down the bank a bit and pushed some gravel in to the water. It's a lot easier to launch at this location now. Trinity at North University. Park on Shamrock and haul your kayak east to the pedestrian bridge to find this spot. Good fishing to the west just beyond University bridge. Trinity under the 183 bridge west of Bryant Irvin. It's best to launch at the rocky area under the bridge. The mud is really deep in some places. Trinity at Oakmont Park. I usually launch on the high side of the dam and fish to the south. It's kind of tricky getting in and out of you kayak if you're alone-steep sometimes slippery cement bank. Trinity at the dam just east of Beach Street-Gateway Park. You'll have to carry your kayak and gear up and down the steps. You are going to need a cart to access all of these spots. Let me know if you'd like some company when you're fishing the river.

Try the TPWD paddling trail on the Trinity in Bridgeport. It is just S/W the the intersection of 114 and 2123. It's a little steep but manageable. The water may be stagnant and a bit trashy during the heat of the summer but if the water is flowing it is a fairly nice paddle.
