I am repairing some soft spots on my Bass boat floor. Where can I buy some epoxy resin and fiberglass mat in DFW at a fair price? Thanks

wal mart has glass, mat and resin in qts. its what I use for small stuff and is from bondo.

they also carry the bondoglass, jellied resin for patchin holes and is what I use to blend nosecones on lower units.

in the automotive area/sandpaper and stuff

Epoxy resin is great, but overkill on the floor. First time you put a screw threw it such as a seat base, drain hole, ect, you have just exposed the foor to moisture.

If you use polyester resin, you can get the same results as epoxy. Just make sure you really wet out the wood with resin. Best to take a grinder and rough up the wood so it will help absorb the resin. It will absorb more than you think it will.

But IMHO you are waiting money on epoxy resin. If it was a structural repair and your boat was made from epoxy resin, then you need to stay with epoxy.

West Systems epoxy. Best epoxy but not cheap. Available online or from West Marine stores.

Pretty sure HD and Lowe's only carry polyester resin.
