My dad and I headed out to Fayette this morning. Good thing we got there early! Starting with the first cast, then solid action from 6:30-8 over shallow grass in our usual morning spot. All fish 2-3lbs and caught on squarebills and traps. Doubled up on dinks After 8:00, it went totally dead over the grass, and we found a little dropoff and marked a couple fish, caught this one and another off that spot Ran around the rest of the day looking for fish in deeper water, keying on 15ft. Using 5XD's to catch those fish. Biggest was 4.25 lbs. Ended up with 36 between the two of us, and all but 7 of those caught before 8:00. Tight Lines Check out my FishingScout log in my sig for more info!

If its your first time out there hit the main lake points with a 5 or 6xd and you should pick up some fish. Also hit the rocks down at the dam. Its a pretty easy lake to figure out.

chuck Solid advise above from basspro99. I'd also check out the shallow grass in the early morning

hey did you catch any unders? Did you keep them? We caught a few unders but didn't keep any of em. We didn't even measure any fish though so I'm not sure how many were unders and how many were slots.
