My son is moving to Arlington and wanted to fish with old dad so I thought I would just fish for some ideas. Thanks for any suggestions.

Fish the dirty diaper pattern. And sometimes they will be on the white wall/radial pattern too
Watch out for hyperdermic needles and go enjoy the day on the water

There is no problem on either side. Some people are just scared of what they are not used to..... i.e. black people and Mexicans

It can be a good lake for sure. My better fish came on a 10" power worm in green pumpkin about 10' deep last time. If you are unfamiliar with the water, I suggest idling once you get to the south boat ramp (where the buoys are). There are isolated trees from there southward, but there is still good fishing to be had.
