Very true.. dont think duckett can match falcon's durability

I think they're both great rods.

I don't have either, but I am going to switch out all my Carbonlites, Kistlers, Powell and Carott Stix for American Made Falcon rods.

Thanks, Billy

I own Falcon Caras and really like'em. I have a few Bucoos and when fishing I can't tell a difference. So personally I would go with caras if you can afford it, Bucoos if on a budget.

I wouldn't say that... ducketts are legit as far as how they fish. but the micro magics just aren't very durable in the long run. I think they will tweak the design and make them better.

I have two Ducketts for cranking, but I prefer Falcon. I have some 12 - 15 year old Falcons that I still use. They last and are hard to wear out. I have the Carolina Carra and the Carra Lizerd dragger II coming my way this weekend. For the money they are hard to beat.

I think it depends on the application. I have several falcons and one Duckett. My favorite rod is a falcon cara amistad that I use for pitching and flipping. It is so sensitive and has plenty of back bone. But I couldn't find a falcon that I really liked for frogs, I was considering a buco, but decided on a Duckett. I love it for frog fishing. It is light, sensitive and has backbone also. Micro guides have held up so far also. It blows away the carbon lite I had for the same purpose. I took the carbon lite back and got the Duckett. Been very pleased.
