Had first timers Louis and Rich today, left dock at 6:45 and back dock at 10, 50 good Sandies and released 20 or so more, chartreuse slabs from MOE'S on humps in north end of lake 12-14 ft. of water loaded with fish. We dug out the hell/pets just to show my customers how to use them, non stop doubles for 10 minutes, all released since we had already limited. Okay time for my monthly rant: As I have said several times if you want to book me as a guide, I would love to have you in my boat and we will catch fish, however if you have nothing better to do but call me at all hours of the day and ask me 20 question then immediately book someone else, please refrain from calling me at all. I have always been honest and will continue to be that way regarding fishing questions.

It is a hellbender without the hooks with a pet spoon lure attached to it by tying the pet spoon onto about a 4 to 5 ft. pc. of fishing line and tying the other end to the hellbender. This rig is used for trolling for sandies/hybrids.

That's like asking 'does Cedar Creek have sand bass'.

Good show, Billy! Not having to use the hellpet in August - PRICELESS!
For you and all the readers, I was out for a couple of hours this afternoon and also found fish in 12 to 14 fow. They were at Merimac Point, Key Ranch Drop-off and Key Ranch North. The shallowest point of the mid part of Long Ridge is now only 15.5 fow and the fish were there also. Good luck to the weekenders!
