Placid is a tough lake. Me and a buddy usually hit it super early before all the rec boats get on the water. Some days they are there at safe light which sucks. But there are a few coves that they cant get in that holds some big fish. Also alot of bass hang out by the dam. We usually throw some frogs in the morning then move over to cranks and drop shots. My buddy caught a huge gar on a crank last time we went out there.

if your headed towards the damn there are stumps so be careful. most of them are visible tho some of the coves get shallow so i would put the trim up just incase. let us know how it goes.
