When Jimmy Smith stops fishing the ole T and chases peacock bass n' Brazil....there's a reason!

Warmer temps have the hybrids on the move big time. One day I'm the hero, the next day I'm in panic mode pullin' out the ace in the hole to get a limit. And, 2 days in the last month we haven't got a limit of hybrids.

Overall fishing is ok, but it's hit and miss. Hybrids are on the move. I can mark 678 of them to the right of my boat, swing around and only 10 are left and if your lucky....u might catch a few. A few times we got them going good. One of those times was last Saturday. Mild pandemonium on the boat with several quadruple hookups and lots of good hybrid caught.

A few days ago I marked a isolated school of striper that actually stayed around long enough to let us fish them. Had a triple hookup on striper....landed 2 and lost the other at the boat. All good solid fish. They remind me of a wolf pack....only sittin still long enough to eat an meal....then off to the next.

Sandies schooled yesterday morning for over an hour and it was easy pickin. But that's not the norm. He'll benders and pet spoons are putting fish in the boat.

If I were coming down to fish for sandies and hybrids I would carry a good supply of trolling rigs, handful of 1oz slabs and might throw for some live bait. Black salties work too.

Catfishing has been off da chain!!! We've got limits of whiskers on every trip since April. And, it's not showing any signs of changing!

Both Teri and Roy have had some awesome days lately and sometimes it's tough coming to tha dock knowing your wife has out done ya...which happens!

The next 3 week projection on T-wok will be a thermocline settin' in and fishing to become tougher. Not what we want to hear, but hey....it's the dog days of summer. I don't downrig, but if you have them they will put fish in the boat. You will see more striper caught over the next month than you have since February. Sandies will continue to be easy on hellpet rigs trolled over the tops of humps.

Live bait will continue to be easy to catch in the backs of coves. Keeping it alive is a art. Good luck! Roger Gray is the expert in THAT area!

Awesome pics. Salsa. Save some for us this weekend. Too bad on the lighting knocking out your internet. Try sleeping in a cabin out in the middle of no where on a hot summer night with no electricity for 7 hrs this past weekend while on a hog hunting trip.
