Made a few of these Beer Can fishing poles up. I wanted to see how long it will take me to catch a crappie without using a fishing pole or electronics. Just good old trial and error. I think the braided line may have better sensitivity.

On my way to the lake for the 1st field test.

Stay tuned for live up dates!

Sweet!

Can someone explain how the Feds count recreational Red Snapper catch?

Live Report.

To say reach is a problem is a understatement.

Note to self... Need a longer can.

If you would drink them, then they might become a light action can. May be more responsive.

Scratch that, its already an ultra light.

You need a handle. Wrap one half of the can in electrical tape or duct tape. It will be easier to grip, and it will look more professional. Or, as professional as you can look while fishing with a beer can.

You are going to have to start drink beer from a bottle so you have a handle. If it works out for you try using a mop jig too.

Note to self: Full can has plenty of backbone and line spools off freely on short pitches.
