We caught close to 100 fish during the four days that we were there. Almost all the fish were caught while we were nymphing with size #16 or #18 Prince Nymphs as our attractors and size #20 and #22 zebra midges in either a black/brown or red color.
The biggest fish went 17 inches in size and had over and 11 inch girth!!

Casey - The weather was perfect. Mid/upper 60's in the morning and mid 90's during the day. The waders didn't bother me at all. I wasn't hot one bit. And I wore long sleeve all weekend. The cool water temps helped keep us cool.

I'll be blogging about the trip soon, but here are a few more photos:

Nice looking trout, great trip I would say.

We stayed in cabin #34. Yes it's inside beavers bend state park. Here's the full write up on the trip on my blog.

I'm jealous I wasn't out there with you all. Next time for sure.

Hey y'all, I'm going on Friday. Took a personal day. I've only been to Spillway Creek, the Evening Hole, and the Zone 2 shoals. Can you tell me where you were at where all the action was? The evening hole just gets elbow to elbow whenever I'm there, and the last couple of times I went I had NO luck on spillway Creek or in Zone 2. Is that just below the dam where all 3 of you are wading? I assume you were fishing a nymph + midge dropper beneath an indicator. That's what I plan to try first, though I may use a reda$$ 'stead of a nymph, or maybe a SJW. I use indicators a lot. Strictly a catch and release guy, as, I agree, stocker trout ain't much for the eatin'.
