I've been here twice in the past week and caught 1 the first time and 2 the second. The main issue I saw though is that if we don't get a good rain soon they won't be able to make it up to where they normally spawn.

DRF or Birdman, what's the water level look like? I know it's low but it's been low for the last few years, either of you go toward the white pipe west of the bridge? Was there ANY water under it?

rain, Shoot... I've been hurt'n for 3 years now. yes, we NEED rain! Last year I seen the sand bass in 2in of water I kid you not I was catching them it less the 4in of water. Find a hole and game on just go up past the first pipe North of the bridge. Also try the bridge to find them there to. I think that we have time to find a run yet way to soon...... Last year when the run was on you could see them going up stream about 30 days from now.

I'm in dallas but I don't live here. I'm planning a trip with some friends to fish in a creek, i know its probably not the best time. We used to go to Rowlet Creek but I heard theres not enough water there. Do you guys know any place where they are biting?

Ya I know the water was really low last year but unless they can pull some acrobatic moves like salmon I don't see how they can get passed the new Alton bridge.

Decided to hit the creek today, didn't have very high hopes but mainly wanted to see what the water level looked like. Lowest I've seen it in a few years but not as bad as I expected. Caught 6 undersized sandies and had a bunch more get off the hook before I could see em. They're calling for rain at least once maybe twice this week, maybe that'll send a decent swarm of fish up the creek.

I haven't fished that side in about 3years... And I've only fished it 2 times. I usually go south to the horse shoe... and past..and we'll, all South of the bridge for that matter.

i went to the bridge location on Saturday, there are sandies there but like what TallTXTrash said they are all small. We hooked 10 fish, out of that three were keepers. You could see them biting the lures from some of the high points.

we went last thursday and friday and pulled around 40 crappie out. only about 15 were keepers though. the sand bass are arriving but not in large numbers. got the boat back there on Sunday and the fishing was horrible. I am a believer in the barometric pressure when creek fishing. it was all out of whack sunday .
