I'm working on getting a 22' pontoon to fish out of. I will really need to wet dock it. I'll fish for sandies, hybrids, stripers (if the lake has any), catfish and crappie, with my favorite being sandies and hybrids.
IF you were in my situation which DFW area lake would you dock your boat on. I'm looking from east to Tawakoni, south to Richland Chambers and north to Ray Roberts.
Thanks for your help.

I'm EXTREMELY happy at Captains Cove on Hubbard. Great Lake and easy access from the highway. The owners generally leave people alone and they'll allow you to make easy slip improvements. We have nice bathrooms with showers in the parking lot and a 24-hr guard. I've never had anything stolen except a bucket from my area and if all that's not enough you have Bass Pro right around the corner. You'll never be far away from 90% of the carp u need come check out J Dock over here anytime. Just give me a buzz. We have a cool bunch of folks over here that get along great.

Thanks Bombay, Hubbard is the closest to me and for some reason the lake level there doesn't seem to get as low as some of the other lakes. Good looking slip right there.
Thanks for the invite, I'll check with a couple of friends, hopefully we can go out with you. Haven't been on the lake in a very long time and I need to remember what it's like to catch fish lol.

do you get much "scum" buildup on your hull when you leave the boat in the water?

I do enjoy a good Squirt now and then.
