Hello, I'm looking for help on trying to locate large numbers of catfish. I have a few spots I can catch a few good size catfish, but I'm looking for non stop action. I have never limited out and really want to. Was thinking about chumming shallow near some rocks and casting shad into it. Any help would be appreciated, just looking to catch bigger numbers in shorter time frames. Thank you.

I think you answered your own question. Chum shallow by riprap and use shad, or leave the castnet at home and pick up some Big Marv's punch bait, channel cats love it.

Non Stop action you say? That's a easy one to answer.

Chumming a hole is going to give you some action, but it will also attract a lot of small cats. There are a ton of 13" blues in the lake as well as small channels that will come like flies to you know what when you throw out the chum.
As for finding limits everytime you go out? I wish I could do that too, but those cats change patterns and moods from day to day.
Hiring Cliff Hill will work, as he guides and stays on top of them day to day.

Just one more cast!

When you say the blues will come to you know what. Are you referring to shad or big marvs. Or did that completely go over my head lol. Thanks guys for your responses. I'm leaving for Puerto Rico Friday morning to do some spearfishing along some reefs there. So won't get to try it this week, but I will give me time to get some chum that will be ready once I get back. I will post pics of cats if I get any luck plus my spearfishing photos. Hoping for some snapper and lobster grabbing. Thanks again guys tryl.

How much does cliff hill charge?
