I saw this on craigslist. 39d42-3960020389@sale.craigslist.org I am the third owner. This is a simple outboard motor with throttle up and throttle down contol on the motor itself. The hand lever is for steering only. You go into reverse by shifting the hand lever to the back of the motor and rotating the engine 180 degrees on its motor mount. The motor has a brand new spark plug and the motor is fully functionaly. I have fired it up in my driverway using a garden hose. Yes, the motor is pretty old but it doesn't have the hours on it for the age. I still have the owners manual. This would be a good motor for taking any small boat on short trips around your local lake.

true just make sure you get a title.Never been titled is cool, just have seller meet you at TPWD or tax office and let him do the lying about why it hasn't been titled yet.Watch out for long shaft sail boat motors unless that's what your looking for. Some you can remove the spacer and use on a Jon,some not.Friend bought a 2.5hp mercury 4 stroke and worked ok on a 10' just Dang slow! Barely a step up from paddle in a small current.5hp is a minimum in my book but for each their own. Also your original post "quality motor for cheap" man that's funny!
