How many casts per fish do you make? Surely nobody keeps up with actual stats. But if you had to guess!!

Depends what the pattern is. Anywhere from very few casts to way too many.

In the summer, maybe 2-3 casts per minute x 45 minutes/fish. That swings wildly, though.

Depending on what lure i am using, which lake, weather, etc. With a crank or spinnerbait, I will make 3-4 casts per minute and in the fall when the frenzy kicks in catch a fish every 10 casts or so (very rough estimate). In the summer or winter with a plastic worm or jig, its more like 1 cast every 3 minutes and a fish every 30 casts or so.

I would say I'm batting .010 over the last 2 months. I'm in a slump.

Probably close to 0.05% when I'm fishing fast, which is most of the time... excluding schooling fish.
