I have a 1987 bass tracker t-17,broke the steering cable today at Bridgeport . Never have changed one. Any tips would be great. Thanks

Remove cable with a rope attached to end, get number off of old cable, order new cable, pull in with rope. Some boats the motor has to be removed to get the old cable out and new cable in. Teleflex has more instructions for specific types of steering on their web sight.
