Ok, so now that the rules and payout are posted how many are still interested in fishing this trail. The rules seem fine but the payout maybe not so much. Thoughts ?

Whats wrong with the payout? They collect $100,000 and pay back $96,000 whats wrong with that?

I'm betting it fills up quick, i would think if you want to fish any you will have to fish all of them.

Wasn't talking about how much they are paying back. I just have heard guys saying they can spend 280 bucks to fish for 15 grand or spend a grand to win 30 grand. All in all I think it can work. My partner and I will make the call on aug 1

fishbug,

Can you please explain why you think the payout is "maybe not so much?" I don't mean that as sarcasm. I am really interested in hearing your opinion.

If you finish 14th and are in the side pot, you will get a minimum of 2.5 times your money back. All other paying places are better than that.

Thanks for your input.

A major difference is that more than 1st place gets a great check for placing in Platinum. 6th place still gets a $5K check (and that's without the side pot).

85% of the guys fishing it don't even get on the forum and dont care to. They will fish anywhere at anytime if the money is right and this time its right. Going to be a fun trail

Chris I wasn't thinking of the sidepot at the time I was just looking at the 1200 for 14th place. With the side pot it does make it a lot more appealing

Pretty sure me and a partner are in. Just working on the sponsorship part of it to find out who is with us on the money end. Should be fun. Amistad a little ways out there but a good lake to fish. I think the pay out is great. There will be plenty of big sticks in this trail.
