Will a hybrid eat a dead had drifting? I though about trying it but did not know if it will work. Thanks!

we fish for them with live shad and not all shad stay alive in the bait tank. Ive caught some hybrids on freshly dead shad. I do not know about frozen dead shad.

Caught a 10lb Striper with a Chicken breast bone we had thrown overboard several hours before.

Anything is possible!

Filets off a big gizzard work well also.

We fish live shad but sometimes by the end of the trip all we have left is a few dead one's. Saying that, when they are aggressive, they will take a dead shad. I will say the dead shad we use are "newly dead".

do a good amount of nite fishing in cold weather, use cut shad mosstly for the big cats but there are times when the hybrids eat up nost of our baits and some are very good size fish.
