Why oh Why are the reports the same every week. I mean why bother if it is just going to be the same report for weeks on end TPW could save a few bucks and not print it. I look forward in hearing how lakes are doing and I see the same report. Bass fair on craw plastics by rock points Crappie fair on Minnows around Bridges White bass on Slabs. Catfish on prepared baits. see I can do it too so why can I not be paid to do it. As it goes for the Vine I go every Sunday morning and I would be willing to give a report on how it was for that day. I'm just ranting because there are so many fishermen pros and amateurs we could do better.

Well so far there have been 59 views to this which tells me people are looking for better reports other than what they find. For example how about like this Large Mouth Bass Good on LFT craw baits in back blue fleck along main lake points in 12 to 15 ft. Switching to Zara Spooks in the evenings in bone or baby bass colors.

if you fish the same lake often enough, you don't need the reports...

but I understand what you are saying...

IMO, fishing reports are not on the "to do "A" list" for a reporter and usually ends up with the rather inexperienced journalist or other said person...or sometimes it will be an old timer that realized he just doesn't give a sh** any more...

The good ones are usually filled with more advertisement than good information...

but in the end, I will stick with my first statement...if you are gonna catch fish, you have to follow their patterns/movements...staying with them is IMO a several day a week thing...and with retirement comes that ability...

Reports are just one or two peoples opinion/experiences. I don't put a lot of stock in them for two reasons:

1. Since I have limited fishing time, I am going where and when I can regardless of the report.
2. To me they are just an indicator of conditions not really a check list of what to do to catch fish on a particular lake.

And as Hopalong said; it's summer-deep mainlake and secondary points fished slow with a worm or crankbait. Stick with that until October.
