OK, I've been fishing for nearly 60 yrs. and started out in an old aluminum Lonestar boat, and still today fish from a 14' boat with a 15 horse motor, and I catch my share of catfish.
So I'm oldschool but what is the purpose of the high platform on the boat in the picture?

Just one more cast!

The high platform is for bowfishing. The higher up you are the eaiser it is to see the fish down in the water.

We run a 19' Carolina skiff, all you need to do to make it a "catfishing" boat is write it on the side...

Because it uses air to push it

I run a 21ft center console, works very good and I love the boat. BUT everytime I fish out of it I think of a way it could be different to better suit my needs. How many center consoles do you know have a 4ft livewell? Or have rod storage big enough to hold our rods? If your going out to buy a new boat and 90% of the time its used for catfishing wouldn't it make sense to buy a boat that suits your needs? I know my next "fishing" boat will be a "catfish" boat.....

I'm gonna miss her....
