I ordered a new boat from southern style custom boats and after a $15000 down payment I had to go to Hendrix OK. to pick up a unfinished hull. My reason for posting is to help inform my fishing forum family from being taken by Donny Worthington for there hard earned money. I know of several others that have suffered the same fate as I have. We will not go away and will stay the course until justice is done and this type of fraud stops.
I am now searching for an honest boat builder to finish the dream that I have been robbed of.

No story, just how these people in Bryan County Oklahoma work.I bet the next time someone googles "Southern Style Boats", they will get educated.

It seems to me that since this OK boat builder is selling a Texan a boat you have "interstate commerce" and you can get the Feds involved. If the sell boats that have a Coast Guard plate then you can file a "safety complaint" because that boat will not float. You also have the Federal Trade Commission.

Next, consider contacting the OK Attorney General's office:

Next, how did you pay and do you have any sort of documentation or contract?

Yep...he declared bankruptcy in March 2012. Did you pay him before or after this date?

He still owes you money or product. Bankruptacy does not discharge post petition debts. Considering the amount of your claim, it would probably be advisable to contact your attorney.

I am surprised you were able to get your "boat". A lot of times the judge puts a padlock on the gate and you can be tied up in litigation for years.
