I use quality rods and reels but not the best made. I've noticed a lot of complaints about these high dollar rod tips breaking for really no reason. It seems that more break in the middle of summer. Does the hotter temperature of the rod affect them breaking easier than in the cooler months?

Warmer temperatures shouldn't make a difference, but I'm not a graphite physicist either.
I think more people are fishing in the summer and therefore you hear about more breakages. But I also think that increased boat traffic on the water really beats rods in the compartments more, leading to more breaks. I know a 1oz c-rig weight can do damage beating against rod blanks (which is why I try to always keep a rod sock on that set up when not in use).

Ive got alot of Caras and never had one break. A majority of rod failure is self induced.
Alot of people throw big baits in the summer on the wrong rod which doesnt help either.
