I love those expressions as well, the only time it could possibly be descriptive of anything useful is during the spring. Are the whites running up the creeks and rivers yet (to spawn)? But that still gives the image of superducks most superb white bass wearing circa 1960 tennis shoes. All the whites I ever caught swam and none jumped out on the back and took off running after hooked.
For those of you who use the expression "are they running" please do not be offended, just having fun while I should be working.

They have been running from me for 2 weeks. I am going to out run them Saturday at Cooper though!!!

They have been running from me for 2 weeks. I am going to out run them Saturday at Cooper though!!! Boat races? hmmmmm!!!  Gene I will be on coop saturday in the yak. If you see a yak with orange flag and white pole that is me. Bruce

Bruce if I had of known you were going to Cooper Saturday you could have gone with us. I have a boat full now but if anyone cancels out I will call you. We are putting in at drs crk about 4.00 Saturday afternoon. I will look for you and call when we find fish.

Good luck. Appreciate the offer Gene. I will call YOU when I find the fish.  One thing I have found on the yak is I learn to fish the area a lot more thourghly and do some different things.
