Took a trip out to Lake Fork Friday with guide Justin Margraves and had a good trip. Wanted to learn how to fish deep for summer bass and he put us on em! We caught close to 40 largemouths for the day with the biggest going around 8. Had to contend with some rain but overall the day was great with it staying overcast and below 80 all day! Justin was a great guy to fish with and willing to share his knowledge of bass fishin to help us learn. If you want to get on some summer bass book a trip now!.

Here is the 8 my buddy Dustin caught on a C-Rig.

This is Dustin, and that was my rod that almost took a drink. I hit the button to let it free spool but must of knocked it back in gear when I set it down on the boat. It gets prettty active whena big girl is coming in to the boat. Luckly I got back to it before it went overboard.

On another note, just wanted to give Justin a big thank you for all of the work he did to get us on the fish. He got me to have some confidence in some different plastics for c rigging. Also taught us some things to look for on our electronics when searching for fish. It was a great time and money well spent.

The best thing about the trip outside of the 8, 6, and 5.5 that I caught, was on Saturday morning when we are fishing (the day after fishing with Justin) and we crush 11 fish in a matter of 1 hour and 15 minutes. During that time 8 different boats from the bassin for babies tourney surround us to try and follow that bent pole patern, but we were the only ones catching them. Just goes to show the right spot with the right techniques go a long ways. Thanks for all the info Justin.
