Does anyone know if the water is still murky around the 922 bridge on Ray Roberts? It was pretty stained the last time I was up there.

I live in Weatherford, but if I lived in Gunter I would drive over there and look for ya! If I lived in Gunter I would be at Ray Bob everyday I could. I was there on 7-13 before all the rain and it was starting to clear up. I fished a 50 acre private lake this weekend up in Whitesboro and they had not seen as much rain as what we have. It seems most of the rain was West and South of your area. The privat lake level was still low and was clear. The lake level at Ray Bob since 7-13-13 has only dropped, My bet is it's finally clearing up.

David, do you go fish the Marina out in Weatherford? I have only been out a couple of times,I did not do any good. I can't get myself out of bed at the crack of dawn when they are biting.

I have only fished the lake two times for Bass with some success- that lake is june bug lizzard or june bug colored worm lake, I have never fished for Crappie there, so I can't help you there.

Thanks David I would drive over if I were in Gunter but I am in McAllen. Yes that is almost Mexico. I'll be home in a few days and was trying to plan a trip with a buddy of mine.

If I was in McAllen i'd be over at Lake Falcon every chance I could. That lake is on my Bucket List.

If you go fishing to RR i've been catching them from Walling Hump to Wolf island in the timber on Minnows. Good size fish this year. Not a lot of dinks or throw backs. There down at about 20' to 24' from 8:30 am till bout 1:00 pm, and I'm mainly catching them in Cedars and isolated trees, just keep moving, I don't stay no more that 10 minutes at each tree, unless they just keep biting.

IMO you can catch bigger fish in the timber but you can catch more on the BPs this time of year...and since I have a freezer full, more is better for me since I will keep very few anyway...

922 is way up there and would be expected to be mirky, however, the BPs on the main lake should be fairly clear (the further south, the clearer)

Thanks for the info. Wish I could do some fishing while down here, but I'm at my father-n-laws and no one else fishes but me. Guess I'll have to settle for swimming with my girls until I get home.
