I think its got sum pretty nice crappie whales in it ....
a 3 lb fish ? ...probably ....
but I kinda doubt a 4 lb fish is in there .....
to much pressure and to many big fish get trips home ....
and the lake is pretty small for the amount of pressure it receives ....
but stranger thingz have happened ya know ....
and its still a wonderful fish ....

You just ripped it in half and didn't sink it. A female Crappie is a she. Now you know. BB is loaded with them and still think he caught a great fish.

Nice fish.I went out Sunday. I launched at Longhorn ramp the ranger told me it would probably close this week. The ramp has become pretty hazardous due to the low water levels. The ramp to launch would be Mustang off Hwy 1187, fish are still scatterd water temps in the mid to upper 80,s

I think my last trip to BB was my last trip to BB....just can't see poking a hole in the bottom of my boat again...and with water levels this low and getting lower, it's just gonna get worse...
by the way, I never went over idle speed and was on the TM when it happened...wave picked up the boat and set it down on a sharp stump...
$2K lesson learned

I actually caught some really nice crappie during the spring from benbrook off the bank! 5 of them were over 2lbs

I was there yesterday launched at the marina it won't be open very much longer the guy in the marina said there was a boat that sunk at the mouth of mustang off the point somewhere said you can barely see it sticking out of the water

Friendly bass dudes told me about the sunken boat but thought it was closer to the marina. I told them I knew about the sunken boat near mustang but thought that happened earlier in the year. Be careful out there!

the sunk boat near the shallows on the north end was removed when lake levels fell 2 years ago.
