That is the only part of fishing that I don't think is as much fun as fishing,is cleaning the fish. That leads me to be a catch and release.I don,t even gut no more when I fillet.I double bag and in the dumpster it goes.

Restraunt dumpster bc it already stinks. Since your are in ft worth perhaps there's some wooded areas or whatever just go toat a five gallon bucket full back there and dump. Fish is bio degradable so it can't do any damage except for the smell.
Politicians, baseball players, high-powered corporate CEO's they all seem to eventually let us down. Nature, however, does not. Look to her for inspiration and you will learn the secrets to living a good life. The most Important lesson it would seem is to make sure you spend as much time fishing as anything else.

Like many others, I put the remains in plastic grocery bags, doubled. Then I usually put those inside a paper sack and freeze until trash day. Of course, you could always just take them to the closest apartment complex and use their big dumpsters. I thought about putting the remains in the garden but I have 2 issues with that. Firat, I like to walk barefoot and don't want to end up stepping on old bones as the bones surely won't decompose that quickly. When you till the garden, the bones could end up on top. Second, I end up with varmints and/or neighbors cats digging up the remains. Think I'll stick to throwing them in the trash

The freezer trick works. It helps with the smell and the critters.

Now I live in an apartment complex so it goes into their big dumpster, the coons and critters now watch for me to toss the garbage out.
When I lived in Florida I used a post hole digger and buried them deep around the drip line of my pink grapefruit tree, it made the fruit very sweet and plentiful. People thought I planted a ruby red.

My aunt has a huge compost pile at her place. We put our fish, deer, and any unused food products in it. She sells it to a tree farm every year.

Get some large ziplock bags, put the leftovers in them. Put them in the freezer tell trash day. Just like Western Sky "problem solved". That's exactly what I do.

I did holes around my trees..roses,or all around my front and back yard areas and bury the remains..The plants get really green and healthy after a few days and few weeks ahead..you can see the difference in where the fish are, and are not in the yard. Yard --slide up/scoop- a grass sod portion as large as your hole... set sod aside..dig hole deep enough to hold fish remains..place dirt back in hole and cover hole top with sod removed.Hard to tell where the hole is at.trees ,bushes..same way described. No fish smell remains and your yard is healthier and greener..

At lot easier at PK Randy where racoons and Coyotes will consume a bucket full of fish in a night.
