Buddy and me caught a one man limit of crappie yesterday but before pullin out we stopped over by the dam on those rocky points near ilse du bow and started throwin some water melon colored lizrd and crawfish plastics working them down those big rocks. Caught 15 nice bass with the biggest about 6 lbs, kept one limit of around 2 to 3 lbs each. It was amazing and close to sundown. Caught em all around 45 minutes time frame.

Stay safe!

Sounds like a great day!! I've always wanted to fish RR, but never been on that lake. I keep saying I'm going to go there, it's only 30 min from my house. Always end up going to Fork.

I have fished those rock/boulders and never caught anything worth talking about. Looks good though. Wind has always blown like crazy so I would only fish Crankbaits or Spinnerbaits

I've caught a ton of fish there on those rocky points in State Park cove thru the years. I caught what had to be the lake record spotted bass, didn't know it, thru it back, when I got home I looked it up on the internet and saw what I had done. I've been on three guided trips up there when the wind was so bad and we salvaged a good day in that area. Once with Jim Walling, once with Lindy, and once with Gary Reedy. It gets hammered a lot, but I can still produce there. My brother in law caught a 10 there one July 4 weekend wading out on the rocky point near the water tower to the left side of that cove right near the camp sites. We were camping out and he comes walking up to camp with this huge toad. We quickly to pics and released her with about 25 people standing around in awe. Tye Thomas use to wear them out there as well.
