Think his name was Barry St. Claire. Crappie fishing, live minnows. 18# some ounces if memory serves me correctly. I think that it weighed 18.18 lbs

Absolutely true , a live minnow on a crappie hook while fishing for crappie and three men fishing hard for the crappie.

Last year during the McDonalds tournament on Rayburn I saw a guy pull a 10+ lber off a brush pile I had just been fishing in. When I pulled off he eased in there with on a pontoon boat and started crappie fishing. After about 10 minutes he hooked up and I started crying..lol my son enjoyed watching him catch the big one..lol Oh well You can't beat a live minnow! Those fish see hundreds and hundreds of fake stuff every weekend and they know what is what. The guys that do good have piles that are away from where most people go and are hard to find. Then your normal baits work better.

If I recall properly, some FLW guys were gluing two 7" Senkos together and dropping them down in the brush at Falcon. They didn't always get them out, but they did get some, and they were big.
