Sittin in R.v. at state park trying to stay cool here on Texhoma. My wife is with me and wants to catch fish for a fish fry. Was at lighthouse this morning 3:00 a.m. and guides said the action in up north past 377 bridge. Thats about all they woukd give out. Not like I was gonna put them out of business. Just wanted to catch a few fish and come back to take a nap get ready to go out for the afternoon. Can anyone tell me the general area up north on Texoma everyone is slamming the stripers at? My wife and I would greatly appreciate it a bunch. Maybe sometimes I can repay you.. For those of you that dont know me I only catch what we can eat, I always stay 50-100 yards off of any guide. I respect their line of work. Its hard enough without having some idiot sittin on top of them. I was going to take my 14' inflatable and drive up to the northern end just too far with a15hp. Im headin out I guess to the dam area this afternoon and first see if I can locate a bait ball close towards the surface and try to net fresh bait all in my bait tank are dead so I put them on ice thinking better dead shad than no shad am I wrong thanks. Thanks to anyone who extends a helping hand Steve

really enjoy this site.

North of the Roosevelt bridge on the west bank up to little glasses in the A.M. south and east of the bridge in the P.M.
P.S.The guides on this end of the lake dont mind if you get close especially if you are trolling

Sounds like the area north of the islands, south of soldier creek, west of preston point. Coming out of Eisenhower you need to head north, stay on the west shore. Pass little mineral arm were grandpappys is (first arm that heads southwest) and curve west around Preston Point until your pointed southwest and your there. From there I would head to the islands and look for birds/topwater movement. I'd go with a big pencil popper or slab. If you do go with dead bait try fishing it like a slab.
