Looking for a rod to fish for specks and red fish that I'll pair with a shimano chronarch 200e7. I will be doing mostly wade fishing. I'll also fish from a boat or yak every now and then. I'll be throwing plastics on jigheads, topwaters, and popping cork rigs. I'd love a rod for every technique but I can only afford one Nice rod for now. I'm not set on a length or action yet. I'm open to all recommendations. Want to keep it under $150 but if you think a rod is worth it for more than $150 please mention it! Thanks Guys!

...have all kinds of high dollar rods here that I have used, but usually end up grabbing my trusty All Star Classic I picked up from Academy a few years ago. Good rods and they are cheap!
...so good it tastes like it died screaming!

If in doubt, go get a Shakespeare Ugly Stick (or 2) to establish the type action you like, length, etc. You may find just what you're looking for at < 1/2 your budgeted price.

Check out the Titeline Rod series at marburgers. They are actually built by the same people that started all the other rod companies and they decided it was time to come out with a great rod that doesn't break the bank. No frill, just solid rod for a great price.
