I have never seen the movie but I googled it and most the pictures that came up were of the "Government Ditch". Not sure if you would be interested but they have a old steamboat that does tours out there and while you ride they tell you all about the lake. But the ditch is just north of Johnson's Ranch so it would be easy to find.
