I took today to fish with my buddies. Only thing, all but one had Dr. appointments...it's heck getting old. Ronny and I went out to Somerville for the morning. Weather was great. Lake is just about 5 foot low. The fish were waiting on us, started out with smaller ones, then made one move and got into some bigger ones. My freezer was void of catfish, so us ending the morning with 50 cats for the cleaning table, by 11am, put a smile on my face. We had five blues between 2-8# in the bunch. All fish caught using tight lines, in 5-12 foot water, on CJ's shad punch bait.

I'm new on the forum, live over in Bryan, so I will always be interested in lake Somerville fishing. I usually go in at Big Creek. Where are some decent spots on that lake?
