I went through this last year at the marina. I'm not sure who is doing it but I hope they get caught. I drew the short straw and had to clean up our ramp on my day off several weeks in a row. Since garbage pick up is Thursday and the fish were always dumped on a weekend I had to dig holes with a tractor and pile them in.

If anyone spots people dumping fish please contact a game warden and write down some TX numbers.

We found this pile of carp and gar in the middle of the parking lot on the Hwy 515 East public boat ramp at Lake Fork last week. Our fishing regulations allow for the take of "rough fish" but "It is unlawful to leave edible fish or bait fish taken from the public waters of the state to die without the intent to retain the fish for consumption or bait." So not only is it illegal, but it is totally unnecessary to waste the resource and to show absolute disregard for anyone else using the ramp. Most people know better and have consideration for others. Some people will judge your actions as being typical of other bowfishermen. You do them a distinct disservice.

Man I bet that's a little ripe. Like a whole bag of arseholes.

That's jacked up, probably 25 half cleaned catfish all over and around the ramp(water level) at 515 East last weekend too.

Let me catch someone doing that

Wow lets kill things for know reason then leave them to rot, what is the point of bowfishing you cant catch and release and not too many people eat rough fish

I know plenty of people that eat gar. In some towns you can take your carp to an Asian market and sell them. Also, cut carp is great bait for catfish and gator gar.

Plenty of responsible bow fisherman out there and it is a lot of fun.

Rough Fish Use # 4,834: FERTILIZER!

I bowfish allot and there is nothing worse than seeing people do this. I know I don't like taking my wife out when we bass fish and have to smell that putting the bass boat in. Cameron if its ok with u ill post a link to this page on a bowfishing forum they tend to frown heavily on public fish dumping

they still look pretty tasty.
