The day could not have been more perfect. Temperature was bearable, light wind, the fish wanted to bite, and Great Company. Yes, I got to fish with my Son, and Matthew Carroll. How can you beat that.

We tried several different baits, and it seems the fish wanted Purple yesterday. Matt and HogOn had no trouble putting fish in the boat using a plain jig, but if I wanted to keep up, I had to tip my jig with a minnow (Yuck).

Besides putting some very nice Slabs in the boat, Matt must have caught and released twenty five Dinks yesterday. He uses a special technique that he developed and refined on a recent trip to Palestine. If you don't believe me, just ask Squeaky. rolfmao

We ended the day with 34 nice fish and some great memories in the boat.

Ok Matthew, my question is this...so you are not wearing that UT ball cap on this trip...does that mean that the Okiebob OU influence is starting to GRAB ahold of your way of thinking?.... hmmm eeks coach scared bolt
