I'm looking for the best all around unit on a budget ($300-400). I would like GPS and the ability to identify fish and structure as good as I can with my limited budget. I would like a 5" screen if possible. I have no problem with an older model that may not be the "latest and greatest." What's your recommendation?

Lowrance LMS 520c is a good unit with gps. If you can find used one. It should be in that range. Hope this helps.

If you could raise your budget another $100 you can find the NEW Technology Elite 5 HDI for $499 with Map, Sonar and Down Scan.
