I used to put my Pescador on top of my 2-door using the Yakima foam pads. It worked, but the yak would sometimes walk... rubbed the paint off on a spot on my Freedom Tops. I've moved over to a trailer now. I don't think i have any pics...

I'll take some pics. I just use the large pool noodles. I don't think there is an easier car to transport w. Then again, you JK owners are a different breed. smile I own a TJ

Here's a few ideas. I cut one and just slid it on the window channel up front and then laid one on the roll bar. Strapped her down

Upside down with at least four straps may be the best way on a jeep.
at least 2 straps to hold it down across the belly.
Then one strap at both ends to keep it from sliding back n forth n keep
It down in the wind (important!!!)

If you don't tie the front and back down u can loose it.
Drive a lil ways and check it before u get on the freeway/Hwy.

Not all correct IMO but there r

Fish is correct. For the front and back tie downs, I use ropes w an s hook and there should b a hole on the bottom of each side of your frame to connect to

Coach P is out of town but he's a recent kayak convert who was using noodles and front rear tie downs for a while on his jeep. He got a guy to weld him up removable t bars since then but this was working fine for him for a while...

i do, 2 ratchet straps hold my 14.5' native down securely. +55 mph no issues so far. i have blue pool noodle on the crossbars for cushion.

i used to flip my yak upside down, but it was a pain to load. now i just slide it right side up, making sure the seat is facing backwards (rear of kayak at front of jeep)

I strap mine to the rollbars of my TJ. first one up by the windshield tie in, and second over kayak and loop around under the cross/sound bars in the middle. it holds tight driving round the island.
pool noodles is a good idea to improve what i set up, a lil utility trailer would be best as im almost too short even without a lift...
