I have heard these work. What are your thoughts? Academy just did a price reduction. So far this is the cheapest I've found them.

Ya they're awesome. I would think the holder that comes with wouod be useful I lose the little blue pads all the time.

When they first came out I was shooting outdoor archery heavily, I would purposely get in a group who had one LOL! they work! I've had mine for 8 years, they even keep them sweat bees away in the dove field.

I'd be a little worried they'd put off a scent that would permeate my tackle and scare the fish away though? I know I have to be real careful about DEET bug repellant because it's an excellent fish repellent.

I have been using them for years for bow hunting. They are great.. I have one strapped to my Black Pak when it's a hot windless day and they bugs are in swarms. It works great for about a 10' circle.

They're awesome. With west Nile being a real threat they add a level of protection.

How long do the batteries last? Do they use a scent or some type of electronic deterent? I need something because mosquitoes just LOVE me!
