Anybody out there using Motor Mate on there 250 SHO ? Just Wondering if there worth having.

I have one on a 300hpdi, and it is great. No more steering clips an a real solid unit.

No on the SHO but yes i have one. It's my favorite out of those types. Worth the couple extra $'s imo

I would buy another in a heartbeat due to their customer service. Not one of those products you ever think to need customer service on but things happen. While almost brand new something happened to one of the nylon cups that the motor rests in. I contacted them stating I had a trip coming up and didnt have a back-up transom saver. They overnighted me a free replacement and only asked that I send the old one back in the box the new one came in. I like the way the Motor Mate (on a Merc 250XS) snaps into place with no chance of falling off and it seems to hold the motor rock solid.

I just bought me one bout 2 months ago and it broke where the weld is that holds the pipe to the plate that holds the motor cups , but i think it done a great job I am going to contact them bout getting a new one or maybe repair mine. For the record my motor is a merc 250 xs pro.on a 521 ranger .

Yahmaha has one that is hard rubber and fits over one of the pistons. I've been very happy with it.
