Bites were tough for me this past weekend, but this is what I suggest. Capitalize on the morning bite and cover water with topwaters (poppers/spooks). Then switch over to finesse fishing docks.

we fished a club tournament there a few weeks ago and it was tough. Top water early won it. I caught a lot of fish on watermelon red flukes. But, only 1 keeper. most were caught in shallow water and docks. I caught several later in the day off the 2 points by the ramp. 12-15 foot range on the drop offs. hope this helps

I always fished sunset and later in July/August so this may not help much, but had moderate success in the coves north and east of the dam on the south side of the lake if in windy conditions. There are/were some small brush piles and ledges in these coves around 6ft as well as the docks and overhangs mentioned. Always had best bites on Green Pumpkin Berkeley Powerworm. Good Luck!
Fish on hook! Reel him in, slowly.

Bounce a deep crank off the poles in the sailboat club. Do the same on the breakwater wall at harbor bay. Then fish the boat stalls in harbor bay with a small crankbait.

35-45ft flutter spoons stay north of lake view How are you fishing the spoon? Just letting it drop? or retrieving at a certain depth? Thanks

I have had decent luck on yellow magics early on the rocks at Lakeview then wacky rigging a trick worm on the docks across from lakeview. Never been any further north but I hear that is where the big fish are.

Fished this morning.....TOUGH. Jerkbait along rocks caught most of them. I went to the north east end and didn't find much fish able water.....very shallow. Was hoping to fish some grass or cat tails. Not so much unless you wanna fish in 2 inches of water. Through some deep cranks on the south end....I just as well of fished in a swimming pool.
This lake is a mystery to me
Thank you Lord for the gifts in my life
