Will be heading down to Port Aransas next month. Was wondering how is the fishing down there? We will be fishing for specs and reds mostly. Have a boat just need to search around to see where they are at and what they are biting on .any advice would be greatly appreciated . Thanks. I am not saying give me all of your secrets just some. Lol

im a regular when it comes to the jetty there, u can jig at the end of the jetty, or try to live line some mullet, produces pretty well, also if you want to catch some big bull reds use cut mullet on to the left side of the jetty

Go to Quarantine shoreline. It is past the lighthouse down the lydia ann channel. the shoreline will curve to the left. Fish about 100 yards from the shore with gold spoons and live shrimp. Very easy boat ride from the marina.

Thanks Bull Tide. I will go there and check it out. I just put an order in for some VUDU shrimp. I have been reading about them and ewvery one is really hyping them up . ANy one ever try them ?

If the trout are feeding on shrimp. anything that resembles a shrimp will get hit. It is when they are hitting something else that you will have some trouble.
