I have been to Freeport at least 12 times in the past 3 years with absolutely no luck. I don't see a lot of boats headed or grouped any particular location. Is there any decent place? I have tried every outlet, point, and even out off the jetties to no avail. Mostly shrimp and shad fishing but still nothing but a few decent gafftop. Also mention that this has been during summer. Am I fishing at the wrong time or wrong place? I never seem to mess up anybody else.

I've been having good catches of Reds and Flounder working the banks along the ICW. I've been tossing "Chicken Boys" shrimp. Plum/Chartrues. Toss it right up to the edge of the bank and work it slow with a twitch. Live shrimp, finger mullet or mud minnows would be good if you prefer bait.
