The pursuit (where are the fish), rigs design and setup, scouting, the awesome feeling of casting your rigs 100+ yards out, the total focus on the fish and the elements, the outdoors... the total exhaustion at the end of your fishing day,... the cooler full of fish to bring home... Yeah, I'm going to miss bank fishing!

My catch and release state record, the 42" striped bass was on June 4th, when the striped bass finish spanwing. On a 12 gizard shad. That fish was with guide Shane Davies, FYI. That was a beautiful fish, Todd! Putting you on her was one of the proudest moments of my guiding career.

Congrats to you for catching and landing (and thanks for releasing her to swim again, too ) this giant beautiful fish, and to Shane, what a great job you did for putting Todd on that fish! It has to be one of the top memory of a lifetime for any inland fisherman, for sure!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!!! It's great to meet you all and I am looking forward to sharing new and old ideas about trophy bass fishing. Just curious, how many of you travel great distances to Chase the elusive monster linesiders? ;-)
